PLAY

Dog daycare is offered by the full day.  Daycare includes meet and greet, indoor and outdoor group play, individual play with experienced staff, naps, and dismissal. 

A Dog’s Day at Barkz

7:00 – 8:00 am Arrivals
Boarding dogs are fed and let out for potty time. Daycare Dogs begin to arrive and play groups are designated for all guests.  Any belongings they bring are placed into their cubby while they get ready for play to begin.

8:00 – 10:30 am Morning Activities
Each group of dogs is rotated and will participate in ball-fetching, chasing games, wrestling, climbing, running and special activities we schedule both indoors and outdoors. Potty time occurs at several random times during activities.

10:30 – 11:00 am Individual Attention
We distribute snacks and lunches for the dogs who bring some, each dog has a few special moments alone with kennel staff and have one last potty time before nap time.

11:00 – 1:00 pm Nap Time
Dogs rest in their kennels with soft music and lights out. This is important quiet time as the dog has had a very active morning and will need to relax and recharge.

1:00 – 3:00 pm Afternoon Activities & Walks
Nap is over, and it's potty time! In the afternoon, the dog will experience a slower pace of play, just as much fun but with less vigor. Scheduled, requested walks happen at this time as well. Frequent random potty times occur all afternoon.

3:00 – 4:00 pm Individual Attention
Daycare dogs leaving to go home spend this time relaxing and getting cleaned up.

4:00 – 6:00 pm Pick Up Time
As we continue to rotate the groups our night staff start cleaning the ckennels of our departed guests . Boarding dogs are give their dinners during this time.

6:00 – to Bedtime

Boarding dogs continue to enjoy playtime with other guests, outdoor and indoor play, and random potty times before retiring to their suite.

All dogs using our Daycare or Boarding services are evaluated based on  temperament prior to group play.  The safety of our employees and our guests is our top priority.  If an animal has aggressive tendencies they will not be permitted in daycare activities.  

Any animal in our care will require proof of immunizations.  Vaccinations must be administered at least 14 days prior to arrival.  The following must be current on your pets vaccination record:  Distemper, Parvo, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), and Rabies.  We also require  flea & tick prevention for pets using our services.  

Cat Daycare is offered, space permitted, in the Cat Condo room. Call for availabiltiy

We require a 24-hour notice of cancellation on our daycare services. If no notice is given, a fee of $10.00 will be charged on the next appointment.
